About the author

Hello, I’m Nicki Grace. Pull up a chair.

Every story begins in a quiet room, or a loud one, because let’s be honest, I have kids. Somewhere between the noise, the interruptions, the threats to hang them upside down and everyday life, an idea finds its way in. Before I know it, I’m disappearing into another world filled with characters who refuse to leave me alone.

My Story

I fell in love with reading when I was six years old. Stories like Ramona Quimby pulled me into worlds I never wanted to leave. It wasn’t that I didn’t like the endings—I just wasn’t ready to say goodbye. So when I reached the last page, I’d grab a pencil and keep the story going, imagining what the characters did next. Looking back, I think that was the beginning of my love for creating stories of my own.

The book that finally made me try my hand at creating a story of my own was Sixth Grade Secrets. I was eight years old when I wrote a short story about a young girl whose grandmother found a way to protect her whenever she ventured out into the world. Her grandmother was confined to a wheelchair, but her spirit could travel with her granddaughter, quietly watching over her wherever she went. Don’t ask me where that story is today, I have absolutely no idea. But who knows? Maybe one day I’ll reinvent it and finally give that nine-year-old writer’s story another life.

Why I Write

I write because stories make us feel less alone. They give us room to laugh, to ache, to hope, and to see ourselves in someone else’s journey. If one of my pages becomes your escape, your comfort, or your favorite late-night read, then I’ve done my job.

Stories I Love Creating

Romance

Slow glances, big feelings, and the kind of love stories that linger long after the last chapter.

Heartfelt Fiction

Character-driven novels about family, friendship, and second chances, written with warmth and honesty.

Mystery and Intrigue

A little suspense, a few secrets, and twists that keep you turning pages well past bedtime.

Dark Reads

Stories that embrace the dark side in all of us. The part that secretly loves seeing those who’ve done wrong get exactly what they deserve.
